Summer reading is functioning much differently than it has in the past. In the past, students were asked to pick 1 historical novel from a choice of 3 and do a choice board project on the book they chose. This is the completely overhauled summer reading program where reading is spread across all core curriculums and gives students a choice for their books. Students can now read a book of their choice. We have provided a list of highly suggested books, and it is advised that the student read one of those (they have been looked at by our librarian and are for the correct grade level with appropriate content) however, they can choose a book that is not on this list.
